A survey by the dance music website Data Transmission and Pioneer Pro DJ has polled Erol as the Uk’s favourite DJ for the second year running.

Here’s what they said:

Without canvassing for votes or any kind of campaign, Erol Alkan has beaten off all competition to be crowned The UK’s Number 1 DJ for a second year running by you lot. It was a very closely-​contested battle this year, with not a lot in it between the top two – trance trio Above & Beyond jumping 3 places up to the runners’-up slot.

Sander Van Doorn came as the highest new entry, with Axwell and Gareth Emery also entering alongside Skream – showing that dubstep is big news these days.
