ONE DAY...MAYBE?

A survey by the dance music website Data Transmission and Pioneer Pro DJ has polled Erol as the Uk’s favourite DJ for the second year running.

Here’s what they said:

He’s done it again!

Without canvassing for votes or any kind of campaign, Erol Alkan has beaten off all competition to be crowned The UK’s Number 1 DJ for a second year running by you lot. It was a very closely-contested battle this year, with not a lot in it between the top two – trance trio Above & Beyond jumping 3 places up to the runners’-up slot.

Sander Van Doorn came as the highest new entry, with Axwell and Gareth Emery also entering alongside Skream – showing that dubstep is big news these days. With Andy C galloping up the poll and Chase & Status also a new entry, drum & bass’s excellent form has also been reflected. And big commercial names David Guetta and Tiësto leapt up the charts following their increasingly mainstream pursuits of the last year – while the underground still makes itself heard with techno god Sven Väth crashing into the Top 10 and Dubfire the year’s highest climber.
